Naming of Child

In Hindu religion, naming of child is done by the word formed from first letter which correspond to Janam Nakshatra or birth star. It is the Nakshatra of Moon at the time of birth. As the moon travels through the sky, it is said to pass through 27 Nakshtras or lunar mansions. Each Nakshatra has some syllables that are supposed to be lucky to begin your baby’s name with.

How will I find out my baby’s Nakshatra?

You will need your baby’s time and place of birth to find out her Nakshatra. Based on these details Baby birth chart is made and hence you can find the position of moon and other stars at the time of Birth. Nakshatra and further its Pada where Moon was posted give the syllables for naming the Child.
