As we enter 2024, the world is eager to discover what the future holds. This new year is filled with hope and anticipation, as experts and astrologers try to predict the upcoming events. From global changes and technological progress to societal trends and personal fortunes, the annual predictions for 2024 offer valuable insights into the path that lies ahead for all of us.

The position of planets as on 01 Jan 2024, as per Delhi location will be as per the chart as under: –

Virgo, the Lagna lord is ruled by Mercury, which is the most active planet of solar system and influence human affairs extensively ranging from mode of communication, transportation, business, commerce, health, creativity and intelligence. Ketu being posted in Lagna signifies detachment or isolation from these significations.

Virgo is associated with healing, nursing and caring for the sick. Virgo is also the sign of debts, disease and enemies. Pisces governs hospitals, foreign, import export, higher education, travels, luxuries, enjoyment, transformation and spiritualism. Rahu is posted in seventh house in Pisces sign.

Now we will go through the transit of planets in year 2024 and try to decipher their implications.

Jupiter is in transit in Aries since Apr 2023 and will to Taurus on 01 May 2024. It will be in retrogradation from 09 Oct 2024 to 04 Feb 2025 for a period of 119 days. Apart from this, it will remain combust from 07 May to 06 June 2024. During the combustion period, there are no auspicious functions planned.

Saturn continues to transit in Aquarius sign in the year 2024. Saturn turns retrograde on 30 June 2024 and then direct on 15 Nov 2024 for a period of 139 days. With Saturn transit in Aquarius since 2023, Sade Sati is going on for Pisces, Aquarius and Capricorn signs. These three signs face lot of problems and obstacles in their life due to Saturn effect.

Saturn’s position in the Multrikona sign holds great significance, particularly in areas related to career, government politics, and foreign affairs. However, there may be ups and downs in career and political matters from July to November due to Saturn’s retrograde motion. Political parties will develop new strategies, form unconventional alliances, and we will witness the emergence of new professional opportunities.

Rahu and Ketu will continue to transit in Pisces and Virgo signs respectively in 2024. These two signs will be undergoing churning in their life. They will remain in a dilemma about attachment and detachment.

Venus will continue its motion without any retrogradation in 2024.

Mercury will be retrograde four times in 2024 as from 13 Dec 2023- 2 Jan 2024 (20 days), 2 Apr -25 Apr 2024 (24 days), 5 Aug -29 Aug 2024(24 days), 26 Nov -16 Dec 2024 (20 days). During the retrogradation of Mercury, there may be reversal in actions and speech, indicates shifts in speech abilities, communication skills, and decision-making abilities. People will tend to display either highly introverted or highly extroverted behaviour. They may tend to express themselves excessively or may struggle to express themselves at all. At times, they can become unpredictable decisions or sudden decisions that surprise others.

There will be two solar eclipses in year 2024 as on 08 Apr 2024 and 02 Oct 2024.

With Jupiter’s transit in Taurus starting from May, there will be an increase in tourism for religious and education purpose. Luxury sector and Food industry will have a major growth.

Year 2024 will give much relief to everyone. Economic sector will grow providing more and more employment opportunities of job. However, the Jobs will be skilled or knowledge-based industry rather than semiskilled. Artificial intelligence will continue to replace the human workforce.  Those who upgrade themselves will be able to survive otherwise will get perished. World will continue to depend on unskilled labour, but the demand of the same will continue to fall.

Stock markets will grow after May 2024 as Jupiter will aspect the fifth house. Those willing to take risks in investments can expect good profits. Overall economic conditions are likely to improve for everyone after May 2024.

Countries will change their alliances due to Rahu position in seventh house.  You will find major shifts in existing alliances as enemy of one time may become friends during 2024. I find India’s relation with western countries further improving after June 2024. This may be due to Jupiter transit in ninth house and elections results after June 2024.

During the year 2024, the religious conversion will increase. This may be force or luring them with money or indoctrination by their religious leaders. Though in 2025, you may see a reversal but in 2024, fundamentalist will try to hijack the agenda and dominate the government and public. Demand for separate homeland or to implement law based on religion will increase causing protests in number of countries. Religious fundamentalism will rise further and start disturbing the law and order of many countries. After May 2024, few of religions may have alliance to counter the religious fundamentalist forces. There may be further rise of ISIS or any new organisation or some Christians uprise against the Muslim fundamentalism. Few countries may look seriously on the refugee issue and may take some strong action by the year end.

Healthcare system may witness a crash twice in 2024, as new bacteria or virus affecting the digestive system may come up. This disease will affect the stomach and digestion related issues. The reason may lie in polluted water and air. Lot of people in healthcare will be infected due to this disease. One of the reasons for spread of the same may be due to pet animals. Healthcare industry will make a fortune out of this disease. The situation will not be as bad as Covid, but certainly will affect a large sector of population. Norms in Food testing industries will be upgraded.

Trend to visit foreign countries will increase. Business of travel agents and tour operators will outgrow. The travel agencies and tour operators will make lot of money.

Sun Mars conjunction in Sagittarius from 15 Dec 2023 to 15 Jan 2024 and then in Capricorn sign from 5 Feb 2024 to 13 Feb 2024. Unexpected heat wave may hit some part of our world. The issue of global warming may again in media headlines but as usual will be out of news after few days. Global warming demands urgent action to mitigate its effects and protect the environment. It necessitates reducing greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to renewable energy sources, and implementing sustainable practices in various industries. Individuals can contribute by adopting eco-friendly habits and promoting environmental awareness. This will necessitate the world countries to take further step in renewable means of energy generation. You may find the share prices of companies dealing with solar or wind energies may witness a spike.

Sun will be conjunct with Rahu from 14 Mar to 13 Apr 2024 in Pisces sign. During this period, there may be lot of problems for Govt or law enforcement authorities. This period also coincides with general elections in India and hence lot of turbulence, law and order problem is expected.

Saturn Mars conjunction in Aquarius sign from 15 Mar 2024 to 23 Apr 2024 may cause major earthquake in some part of world.  Saturn and Mars cause accidents and blood infections. This period will be before general elections in India, and you may find lot of agitations, strikes and riot like situations.

Mars Rahu conjunction from 23 Apr 2024 to 1 June 2024 forming in Pisces sign. Rahu and Mars energies may result in major cyclone in countries with coastline. This is explosive combination and may result in air accidents, train accidents, industrial accidents, or major fire incidents. This period also coincides with the summer seasons when you find fire incidents at number of places.  Terrorist activities or riot like situation cannot be overruled during this period. This period will also be associated with some new research and discovery in technology.

In India, General elections are due in May 2024 as the current tenure will expire on 16 June 2024. Notification of elections is likely to be issued in Jan 2024. India’s Lagna as per astrology is Taurus. Jupiter transit in Taurus in May 2024, indicate that the present ruling party which has religion as its agenda may come into power again. Though due to Saturn in its Kendra or say tenth house, it will be facing a major opposition. BJP, which is called saffron party of India will be making alliance with non-Hindu parties or giving them important positions before elections. Rahu Mars combination in eleventh house indicate the situation before elections will be very volatile. This party must work hard to counter the resistance offered by Saturn. Initial polls may be against the BJP as Jupiter will be in transit in twelfth house from Apr 2023 to Apr 2024. BJP will face lot of allegation and resistance from opposition. But as Jupiter transit on 1 May 2024, results will be in its favour and chances of them forming the government again are very high. For clear majority they may be required to do coalition with few non-Hindu parties. Elections always brings surprises as charts of those ruling the parties also get involved.

Jupiter transit to Taurus on 01 May 2024. Jupiter transit in sign of Venus shows positivity and increase in luxury business, happiness. It indicates happiness in married life and creating situation for maximum marriages.

Sun & Jupiter conjunction in Taurus Sign from 14 May 2024 to 15 June 2024, will bring positive results for financial sectors.  This will be time for Banking sector to grow and accordingly stock prices of Banks may notice a hike.

From 12 Jul 2024 to 26 Aug 2024, the Jupiter Mars conjunction in Taurus indicates a highly positive period. Property prices are expected to boom, and those in the technology field will experience favourable conditions. During this period, stock prices of cement, steel and food products will rise and those dealing with the stocks related to these products will benefit.

During 16 Sep to 17 Oct 2024, the Sun Ketu conjunction in Virgo may bring turbulence for ruling governments. All over the world, you may notice that opposition parties may try to destabilise the ruling government by ethical or unethical means. The disease as we mentioned above may surface or resurface during this period. Sun is eclipsed by Ketu and indicate trouble in law and order, death of a popular world leader and increase in terrorist activities. To control the law-and-order situation, governments have to take some strong steps which can cause mass unrest.

2024 Year will a year of happening and unfolding of events will keep everyone busy. Lot of unexpected changes will take place in field of technology, politics, economics and religious activities.
