Parchand: This Nadi is ruled by Saturn and it means extreme heat of the summer.

Pawan: Pawan Nadi i ruled by Sun means strong hot winds of summer.

Dahan: Dahan means heat and is ruled by Mars depicts fierce heat.

Soumaya: It is ruled by Jupiter strikes a balance between intense heat and soon to come cool early Monsoon showers. It Is also called madhya nadi.

Neer: Ruled by Venus, a watery planet represents first showers of Monsoon, Neer means water.

Jala : Ruled by Mercury, also means water – plenty of rain of monsoon.

Amrita: Ruled by Moon a watery planet signifies rains in abundance. Torrential down pour.

Neera, jal and Amrlt are also called uttari or sajala rashi

Three Fold Classification

The Saptanadis divided into three categories:
Yamya: First three nadl’s Prachand, Pawanand Dahan are known as Yamya nadis. They are also called Dakshin nadi’s. They promise hot, windy temperature but do not promise any rain.

Soumaya; Next three Soumaya, Neera and jal mean drop in temperature and beginning of onslaught of rain.

Sheetal: Last one Amrit means cool, it promises plenty of rain.

How to read Saptanadi Chakra

  1. The planets transiting in Parchand Nadi would bring violent storms and cyclones. This is especially true if more than one planet is transiting in this Nadi.
  2. Malefic planets lead to formation of clouds but have very little rain.
  3. Malefic planets, Sun, Saturn and Mars cause clouds but give no rain.
  4. Planets in Neer, Jala and Amrit Nadis bring much rain.
  5. Mars activates the Nadi in which it moves very quickly.
  6. If two or more planets are in a Nadi and when Moon joins them there would be rain.
  7. Moon, Mars, Jupiter in one Nadi cause excessive rain.
  8. More planets In Neer, Jala and Amrit nadis with Moon promise continuous rains for days together.
  9. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter , Moon give plentiful rain.
  10. If maximum number of planets, {five) are in Neer nadl and Moon join them rain will last for 6 days. With similar situation in Jala Nadi there will be rain for 12 days and in Amrit nadi for 24 days.
  11. Moon’s entry into a nadi where there is already a planet causes weather fluctuation.
  12. Mercury alone In raining season is capable of giving rain while changing rashi, becoming retrograde or direct or while rising or setting.
