Nakshatra Associated with Mercury

Mercury is associated with five Nakshatras. Three Nakshatras Jyestha, Ashlesha and Revati fall under rulership of Mercury as per Vimshottari Dasha system association of planets with Dasha period. These all are Gand Mula Nakshatra. Two of other Nakshatras Ardra and Hasta are also associated Mercury as Gemini and Virgo central Nakshatra.

Ardra Nakshatra

Adara is the sixth Nakshatra ruled by Rahu is the central Nakshatra falling in Gemini Sign. It signifies reverence, honour, care, attention, and eagerness. We have seen the importance of truthfulness. Now we are alerted to the importance of respectfulness as well as proper care and attention. These are all the keys to success in business as well as life in general. Purified consciousness respects everything because it sees itself in everything. Ardra also signifies anger of lord Rudra which was the fiercest form of Lord Shiva. This anger was after major setback in life which has brought tears.

Hasta Nakshatra

The central Nakshatra of Virgo is Hasta (the hand). This is the 13th Nakshatra in the series of Nakshatra and ruled by Moon. This indicates those who use their hands for healing or who give good guidance. Mercury is exalted at 15 degrees of Virgo in Hasta. Ashlesha Nakshatra

Ashlesha Nakshatra is the ninth Nakshatra, falls in the Cancer sign and is ruled by the planet Mercury. This constellation resembles a coiled snake.
